I primarily use Nikon cameras (as I have done since I was a teenager!) and I currently use a Nikon D7100 for full colour work, and an infrared converted D90 for my infrared work. My wide range of lenses allows me to capture most things, and I've invested in Lee Filters in the last few months, which will increasingly feature in my photography.
I shoot in RAW mode, which basically provides a raw, unprocessed, full resolution image as the camera sees it, rather than let the camera process it into a JPG image. That means I take full control of the post-processing, turning what can be a flat, lifeless RAW image into something with depth and colour. I'll write a blog on post processing at some point in the future - it's an important (and overlooked, or even over-criticised) aspect of photography!
I've particularly come to enjoy digital infrared photography, originally taking long exposures using filters, I finally committed to IR in 2013 when I had my camera permenantly converted. Infrared photographs have a distinctive character, with bright foliage and dark skies, to which I think I add my own unique take
