Buying from Scott Rae Photography

I've now started to print my own work using an Epson 24" large format printer.  This means I have complete control of the quality of my prints, and they will only be dispatched once I'm happy - and I'm fussy! I use only premium quality, archival grade papers and original Epson inks, designed to last a lifetime and display my work at its best.    

If you have any specific requests, I can either custom print myself (I use roll papers up to 24" wide), or utilise the best specialist photo labs in the country.  So please get in touch - there are so many more options available than I could ever possibly list here!    

Each print comes signed, with a certificate of originality, and is packaged as securely and robustly as I can manage, given the  tempramental nature of the postal system!  Items will usually be dispatched within 5 days, although now I'm doing this myself, there may be occasions when I'm away from home and cannot print.  I will notify you in the event that I won't be able to print within 5 days.  All items will be dispatched using Royal Mail Special Delivery, or equivalent guaranteed and insured delivery mechanism.

How to Pay

Photos can be ordered directly and securely through my website using PayPal, where you can either use a credit or debit card, or an existing PayPal account.  Just choose from the drop down menu options below each gallery photo and follow the instructions!  If you have any problems or questions, please let me know.  Because of the bespoke nature of the prints, it is likely I'll be in touch anyway! :c)

Historically, I've not cropped my work to fit standard paper sizes - it's usually the size / aspect ratio it comes out of the camera (3:2), or cropped / extended to fit the image I want to show.  By default, these typically don't fit the standard ISO paper sizes, or traditional 4:5 aspect ratio of photographic prints, so some appropriate cropping will take place.   (Whilst I may start to standardise my print sizes, this could take some time!  Hence you have a degree of flexibility about what size you order).  Similarly panoramic and square prints will be cropped appropriately for sale.

Some photos may not be available in the larger paper sizes, either because they've been cropped or they're taken on an older camera - I will advise you if your order is larger than the photo will allow.  If you want a custom size or borders, then please let me know.  I can print up to 24" wide with effectlvely unlimited length (up to 15m rolls), or outsource printing for anything beyond that.  Prices will be calculated and agreed prior to printing.   

 

Panoramic

You'll have noticed that I really enjoy shooting panoramic photos, and therefore have a number of wide, panoramic images on my site.  Few of these are likely to confirm to the sizes or proportions in the price list!  By default, I will appropriately crop each image to suit the size you've chosen, but if you'd like the full sized image, I am happy to print this - just say so in the comments!   You can either use the image prices below as an indication of how much a print is likely to cost

Square

Papr Textures and sheens

Photo Art Silk		Smooth but still textured papers with a silky sheen (smooth Art Silk), or a semi gloss sheen (Fine Art Pearl)
FB Pearl	In Stock - Photo coming soon	A semi-gloss, pearlescent, smoother textured paper which offers the best of both worlds between gloss and matte, with the colour range and depth associated with gloss, but the durability and finger print resistance of matt.
Titanium Lustre	Coming Soon!	Metallic prints have a more glossy finish and a unique metallic / pearlescent appearance, giving extra visual interest and true depth (almost giving a 3D appearance), with intense blacks and bright, vivid colours - sometimes described as "Chrome on paper".
Canvas		SPECIAL ORDER A satin laminated, water resistant, cleanable, scratch proof and UV protected canvas surface mounted on a 38mm deep European pine stretcher frame.  The frame comes with wood wedged corners for a perfectly tensioned canvas, and felt coins on the corners to protect walls.  Finally, it comes with a specialised, pre-fitted canvas hanger.   Canvases can be provided laminated and rolled, ready for you to stretch and frame yourself.
Mounted (Matted)		Card frames can be placed over the front of the image to provide extra protection, stop the photo from touching the glass, and provide a traditional premium finish
